How do these comparisonsdescribe what you’re writing about? Keep your journal or computer nearby. As you read, ask yourself these questions, and write the answers in your journal: (1) What do I notice most in the poem? (2) What do I like most? Least? (3) What questions do I have? (4) What pictures come to mind from the words the author (poet) uses?
